Birthday Weekend Cuisine

I made curried carrot-apple soup. Also featured are porcini tortoni with heirloom tomato sauce. There are also Kingsbury truffles - best on the planet. The Pink Lady apples are from Eastern Market, and there is a photo of my birthday dinner.

Oh yum yum yum. All looks great, although you know my eyes go straight for those truffles. Mmmmmm. Looks like you had a fabulous birthday, as deserved. Definitely glad to see that!

It was indeed special. A lot more personal effort went into that birthday dinner than simply going out somewhere. The meal was exquisite.
